Lake Murray Living

We purchased our first home on Lake Murray in 2019 - The Hamm house. This property wasn't much to look at in the beginning, but we became obsessed with building a wonderful home for our family to enjoy and our friends to vacation at. Our dreams soon became a nightmare when COVID hit, we were shut down by the building inspector (woops), and we went way over budget. However, we got through that first home and created something we were and still are truly proud of. We then began purchasing additional homes, one at a time, ripping them down to the studs and rebuilding them from the ground up.

In 2023 we decided to start Lake Murray Living with a focus on providing lake vacations for all to enjoy, the way that we like to enjoy them. Our properties are designed to maximize the amount of fun you and your family can have for a vacation. This means every home comes with Kayaks, Stand up Paddle boards, and Arcade games, in case the weather doesn't cooperate. We want to make sure that everyone has the opportunity to enjoy the lake like we enjoy the lake. About Lauren

Lauren is the lead designer and CEO of Lake Murray Living . She earned her bachelors degree in Journalism from the University of Tennessee, but got her start at the University of South Carolina where she was on the dance team as a Carolina Coquette! She is a SC native and has been visiting and playing on Lake Murray her entire life! When she's not designing the company's next project, you can catch her on the lake kicking up a wave for her kids to surf behind.

About Scott

Scott is a rookie craftsman, a DIY journeyman, and a former Executive at a major international bank. Scott earned his bachelors degree in Business Administration at the University of Tennessee and holds an MBA from the University of North Carolina.

Scott was born in Naperville, IL and had always dreamt of living on a lake. His dreams became a reality when he met Lauren, his future wife, in High School, and the two started taking trips to Lake Murray on the weekends. Scott is passionate about real estate and holds a real estate license in both North Carolina and South Carolina where he helps others evaluate investment deals on the lake and also helps people find their dream home.

When he's not working on homes, you can find Scott on the soccer field coaching one of his two boys, at a dance recital, or on the tennis court.
